Easy and healthy recipes are something that one is often looking for on a day to day basis. These especially relate to someone who lives a busy lifestyle and doesn't have time to cook an elaborate meal.

You need something filling and tasty that kids are not going to turn their noses up at. Things like pasta and potatoes and other carbs should be restricted, but not eliminated. You simply can't live on bread alone, but you need to have a balanced diet. Kids still need to indulge in Mac 'n Cheese and the whole family will appreciate a pesto pasta with a tomato sauce. This is very easy to make.

Many people think that pasta and rice is something to avoid because of the carbs that should be avoided. However, from time to time you will find that you need to have this in your diet. It especially applies to children who need the energy. The thing that they should be avoiding is hamburgers and chips.

Soups and stews are easy to make and they are especially tasty and rewarding in the winter months. You can prepare these in the morning before you go to work. When you come home, your meal will be ready for you, and there is nothing better than that. You can use things like tomatoes, dry lentils and peas and other beans and vegetables. Some people use sausage and beef.

There are many different types of stir fries to make, so you can be creative and experiment with various recipes. You don't always have to use chicken or beef with a couple of vegetables. You can add in a couple of chickpeas. You can add in nuts. A touch of organic peanut butter will make a lovely sauce.

Just about everyone loves stir fries, and there are so many variations involved. This is about the easiest thing that you can make. You don't even have to serve rice with this. You can serve this with a salad. However, rice does not take a long time to make. You can simply put this in the microwave and it takes not time at all.

Instead of using fatty mince in your casseroles, you can use turkey meat. This is not as fattening. You can also use low fat cottage cheese. Add a couple more vegetables in there for a few more vitamins and minerals. You can sprinkles some cheese on top. This is not a diet, but a lifestyle. You are simply staying away from fast food chains and take away.

This can go with anything. You can make a stew in no time at all. You can make a soup. You can make a sauce which will be great for pasta. The tomatoes that you get in a canned are easy to boil in a couple of minutes. You will then blend them down so that this thickens into a sauce and it becomes smooth. You just need to add a little garlic and you will be all set.
