The rounds purpose has always been simply to observe, formulate opinions, and supply insight to the residing teacher. Once the round is over a discussion follows by giving each person a chance to speak and tell people what they have observed.
Furthermore discussions about the experiences are usually done after the day ends, but this is not good for most teachers. Because most will want to leave for home right away instead of stay behind. The discussion is much like a meeting but a little different since each person is allowed to speak.
Because it might not help the teacher improve since discussions are often done after class hours. And not many teachers would like to stay after work because they live far away or they do not want to get involve with rush hour traffic. Aside students might not feel comfortable with the group hanging around at the back.
Furthermore teachers will not be able to improve if too much control is being exerted around the students. And to reiterate the point of getting a round in a class is to help teachers become better providers of education. It will not help if they are only good at showing it, but they should exert effort and confidence in their teaching ability and skills.
