One of the most popular of these types of stories would be the ones wherein animals would talk and act in situations similar to those of a human. Now in the modern world of today, one of the most popular modern children books would be none other than Jessica the Littlest T Rex.

The author, Richard Hamilton, is a man who has a very special writing style that can really capture almost any audience. It is because of his unique style that this little book of his can be read by both adults and children who are about to reach their adolescent stage. One of the fundamentals of his style would be his light humor that is attached to this particular work of his.

Now the reason as to why the author chose to write about the life of a dinosaur is simply because everyone is fascinated with dinosaurs. Also, the rough lifestyle of a dinosaur is the perfect way to showcase real life situations to kids in a very entertaining and not so scary manner. Modern situations are what the author would want to present to readers.

In fact, the story would highlight the friendship between Jess and her two rodent best friends Randy and Carol. Early in the story, the author explains how these three met and became close.

It was because she could not fit in with the other t rexes that her only friends were these two rodent creatures. Earlier in the story, readers will find out that Jess could not fit in with the other dinosaurs simply because she was much smaller than them. It was for this reason that her friends were these rodents.

Now as the reader continues to read, he would find out about the adventures of Jess and her friends. These adventures would show the reader just how important friendship is. The author did this on purpose so that he can emphasize one of the most important of all values in all of life.
